"Safe Harbor"

What would your definition of safe harbor be? (Think about it!!!)

In Matthew 8:24-26 it says, "And behold, there arose a great storm on the sea, so that the boat was being covered with the waves; but, Jesus Himself was asleep. And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, "Save us, Lord; we are perishing!" He said to them, "Why are you afraid, you men of little faith? Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm." ( As we can see, when Jesus spoke there was Power in the Word!)

I am so thankful that as a Christian we have a safe harbor in Jesus Christ! The storms of life come upon us in strong & mighty waves that seem like they will topple us! We all face many storms in our lives (finances, health, deaths of loved ones, divorce, drugs, alcohol, depression, this is just to name a few), but we serve a great and mighty God who will walk with us thru each and every storm we face and will steady us and give us the strength we need for each moment.

In Isaiah 25:4 it says, "For you have been a defense for the helpless, A defense for the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat; For the breath of the ruthless is like a rain storm against a wall." Praise God he is our strong defense!

We just need to remember to stay focused on Jesus, and give Him the glory, for each and everything He is doing before, during, and after the storm! His lovingkindness and His faithfulness are awesome! Sometimes those storms may teach you to " Lay in the Savior's arms"
more closely each day. We need to always remember the closer that we walk with God, the less room for anything to come between. " We don't need to pray for an easy life, we need to pray to be made stronger in the Lord!" Always remember, that there could be more trials, more refining, but, thank God, for our safe harbor, Jesus Christ!

In Proverbs 8:10 it says, "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; The righteous run into it and is safe." (Our strong, safe tower, safe haven, safe harbor!!!)

Life is hard, but God is so goooooooooooooood!!!

So thankful for that Safe Harbor, Jesus Christ!

Scriptures to leave you with:

Psalm 136:1- "Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, For His loving kindness is everlasting."

Deut. 32:4-"The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He."

Psalm 56:3-"When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You."

Remember: When trials come, run to our Safe Harbor, Jesus Christ!"
