"Shingles of My Heart!"

This morning at 7:50 a.m. 6 men came to roof our house. Within 15 minutes they had set-up and were on the roof taking shingles down. I was in the house and as I heard them scraping & digging the shingles off, I thought of how God has to work on our hearts! Lord, make me a vessel fit for use!!! Mold me & make me! "But now, O Lord, "You are our Father, We are the clay, and You are our potter; And all of us are the work of Your hand.(Isaiah 64:8)

Fill me with the fruits of the spirit: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, & self-control. (Gal. 5:22-23)

"Hammer away, chisel these things out, Lord, Dig and scrape the things not of You away from my heart!"

Take away every sin, (greed, rebellion, hate, confusion, impatience, untruths, unkindness, and roughness, & etc.) in my life! Tame my tongue! "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer." Psalm 19:14

Just as my house needs a new roof, Lord give me a new word each day and teach me more of your ways!!! (Hebrews 4:12)-"For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

(Psalm 25:4)-"Make me know Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths."

Psalm 143:10-"Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground."

Refresh me daily!!!! (Philemon 1:20b)-"Refresh my heart in Christ."

You are my firm & solid foundation!!! (2 Timothy 2:19)-"Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, " The Lord knows those who are His" and, Everyone who names the name of the Lord is to abstain from wickedness."

God is faithful!!! (I Corinthians 1:9) - "God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord."

Lord, make this vessel fit for your service!!! Shingle me well!!!

"God my Creator, My Savior, the Music of My Heart!"

God created me, He saved my soul, and He is the music of my heart! It amazes me how He took the dust and made man, and even more amazing is His great and mighty love for each of us!! He is the Music in my heart, the Melody in my soul, the Song that leads me in the dark, the Fire that warms me, the Symphony that calms my fears, the Lyrics I long to hear, The Masterpiece that is still working on this piece of art!!! I am captivated!! I am in awe of my blessed Savior!! I Praise His Most Holy Name!!! I have strings in need of mending, and I thank God for His mercy!!! Use this instrument to your Glory, O Lord!!
