"Are you being pounded by paint balls?"

My grandson, Blaine, called early this morning to tell me that he and his mom & dad were going to play paint ball! He said Grammy pray for me! I don't know anything about this game, other than what my daughter has told me. She said they were getting well clothed up, because she was told when the paint balls hit you they can sting! They are off for a morning of fun and I pray God's protection on them!
Just as the paint balls can sting, Satan throws many things at us that can sting! We need to clothe ourselves in Christ! Put on our armor each and every day! We must remember, Satan is defeated! It tells us in Revelation 12:9, "And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him." Satan's accusations against believers are unsuccessful because of Christ our Advocate. Advocate, our Helper, one called alongside! Our defense attorney! Praise God for the Holy Spirit! Although Satan prosecutes believers night and day before the Father due to sin, ( It tell us in Rev. 12:10 that Satan will no longer accuse believers before the throne of God because he will no longer have access to heaven), Christ's High-Priestly ministry guarantees not only sympathy but also acquittal. (Hebrews 4:14-16), Jesus was sinless, He was able to be tempted, but not sin. When Satan throws those fiery darts, draw near with confidence to God's throne to receive mercy and grace through Jesus Christ to help in your time of need.
Many things come against us in this world, it seems sometimes like we are being pounded by paint balls (so to speak), but always remember John 16:33, "These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." Our fundamental ground for endurance in persecution is the victory of Jesus over the world. Through His impending death, He rendered the world's opposition null and void. While the world continues to attack His people, such attacks fall harmlessly, for Christ's victory has already accomplished a smashing defeat of the whole evil rebellious system!
The next time Satan sends a fiery dart(paint ball) your way, Fall upon your knees and draw near to the throne of God to receive that mercy and grace you need to help you thru this trial! Retaliate with Prayer and Depending on God!

Always Say A Prayer (A.S.A.P.)

There's work to do, deadlines to meet,
you've got no time to spare,
but as you hurry and scurry
always say a prayer.

In the midst of family chaos,
"quality time" is rare.
Do your best; let God do the rest;
always say a prayer.

It may seem like your worries
are more than you can bear.
Slow down and take a breather--
always say a prayer.

God knows how stressful life is,
He wants to ease our cares,
and He'll respond a.s.a.p.

"Always Say A Prayer!'

Blessings

Blessings can be a loving smile,
Or even a soft tender touch.
A kind word softly spoken,
These blessings mean so much.

Blessings are a special friend,
Being there in time of need.
Lending a hand and encouragement,
By doing a simple loving deed.

Blessings are when someone cares,
When our lives seem to be adrift.
Blessings are hearing a prayer,
That gives our spirits a lift.

Blessings are knowing God is near

Our every prayer He will hear,
Giving us comfort in our fear,
Trusting Him with all we hold dear.

"Always count your blessings!"

Let go & Let God!

As children bring their broken toys,
with tears for us to mend,
I brought my broken dreams to God,
because He is my friend.
But then instead of leaving Him
in peace to work alone,
I hung around and tried to help,
with ways that were my own.
At last, I snatched them back again
and cried, "How can you be so slow?"
"My child" He said, "What could I do?"
You never did let go."

"Waiting"

How many of us like to wait? We wait in lines, we wait at doctor's appointments, we wait for many things!

Scriptures on waiting:

Psalm 27:14-"Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord."

Psalm 130:5-"I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope."

Isaiah 40:31-"Yet those who wait for the Lord, Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles,, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary."

Patient, Praying believers are blessed by God with strength in their trials. God's Word cannot fail, it gives us hope! We should wait with eager and patient anticipation of the Lord!

When you wait on the Lord, you gain wisdom, you give adoration to Him, you gain inspiration from Him, and you give thanksgiving for all your many blessings!

W (isdom)
A (doration)
I (nspiration)
T (hanksgiving)

The next time you or I are waiting in a long line or for doctor's results or any other long wait, we should reflect on this verse from Psalm 25:5: "Lead me in Your truth and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation; For you I wait all day."

O Lord, teach me to Understand the things I need to understand, and to wait upon you, Lord!
